The Space
Capstan Cottage is a bright and airy two-bedroom cottage situated a stone's throw from Weymouth's historic harbour and the recently reviewed 'best restaurant in the world' by the Times - Catch, Seafood restaurant. The cottage is set within Admirals' Quarter, an exclusive gated development of properties just a 5-minute walk from the harbourside.
The ground floor of this terraced cottage, is light and airy with wooden flooring and tasteful décor. The living and dining room is at the front of the house with space for dining and relaxing in the evenings. Through to the back of the house is the kitchen, complete with integrated appliances and a door opening out to the secure garden at the rear.
The house benefits from gated access to a private parking space along with a landscaped and secure courtyard garden.
Kitchen; Well-equipped compact kitchen, with integrated slimline dishwasher and fridge / freezer, an electric oven and gas hob, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee pod machine.
Living and Dining Room; Comfortable sofa seating for four guests, Smart TV, books and games along with a dining table to seat four.
Ground floor cloakroom; Wash basin with WC.
Upstairs; On the second floor are both bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom at the front of the house, decorated in coastal tones, with King size bed, built in wardrobes and roman blinds. Just across the hallway is the family bathroom, with bath and shower overhead, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and W.C. To the back of the house is the twin bedroom, with two single beds, built in wardrobes and roman blinds.
Outside; The secure rear courtyard garden in accessed via the kitchen, complete with outside seating, charcoal BBQ and garden herb planters.

Families; Travel cot and high chair provided. Please bring your own cot bedding and mattress if required (the cot is a playpen style travel cot which comes with a thin mattress)

Guest Provisions; Bed linen and towels are provided; we also provide beach towels at Capstan Cottage. Guests are supplied with a basic welcome pack to get you started on your holiday, which includes a starter pack of toilet roll, hand soap, washing up liquid and a cleaning sponge.
The Location
Located just a short 5-minute walk to Weymouth's historic harbourside, home to a fantastic choice of independent restaurants, including 'Catch' Seafood restaurant, recently reviewed in the Times as the 'best restaurant in the world' by celebrity food writer Giles Coren, and awarded a Michelin star in 2024.
There is also a choice of gastro pubs and independent coffee shops along the harbourside - there is something for everyone! Also within walking distance is Weymouth Beach, a sandy beach with shallow waters; one of only 76 beaches in England to be awarded with a Blue Flag. The Blue Flag and Seaside Award recognises Weymouth Beach as one of the safest, cleanest and very best in the country. There is so much to see and do on the doorstep!

Our stay was great. The house was clean and just the right size for a family, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect on the Nothe, only a few minutes walk down to the harbour and a few more onto the beach, yet nice and quiet.

Beautiful holiday home in a great location with all you need within easy reach, close to all amenities, wonderful places to eat by the harbour, stunning beach which the dog loved and great walks by the Noth Forte along the coastal path. Really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back soon. House was clean, modern and beds very comfy. Nice touch with the essentials provided such as milk, tea and biscuits, even had dog bowls for your furry friends. Highly recommended!
We stayed here for 6 days whilst we were racing at WPNSA. Found it easy to get to and from, comfortable and a great location to walk 5 minutes into the centre of Weymouth.
Lovely 2 bedroomed cottage. Within walking distance of pubs, shops, beach, and harbour. Ideal for walking a dog as very close to a park. The property is quite small downstairs but was ideal for us as a couple and would be ok for a small family. Good base for exploring the area.

Very well equipped, thoughtfully decorated and spotlessly clean. Situated in very nice area, in walking distance to pretty much everywhere in Weymouth. Garden has a practical design for low maintenance but still attractive with quality garden furniture and cushions. Enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.
Capstan cottage has everything you could need. It's comfortable, very clean and has a lovely little garden to relax in. It is in a great location close to the harbour and beautiful Nothe Gardens. Amy is on hand to help if you need any help. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage.
We had a great time staying at Capstan Cottage in Weymouth. We were 2 adults, a 5 year old and a dog and all fitted in comfortably. The property was lovely and clean and came with absolutely everything and a few little extras. The allocated parking spot was great as we were able to stay local without additional parking charges or easily jump in the car for a day trip. The house is in a great location and within a few minutes walk of the park, harbour and plenty of places to eat and drink. The beach and main shops are only about 10 minutes walk. We had a brilliant time. We loved Dorset and loved our accommodation.
Fantastic location. Brilliantly equipped, kitchen best ever, all new and very high quality; lots of John Lewis goods. Wifi didn't fail us and beds were super comfy. We will stay again soon we hope
We had an amazing week at Weymouth. The house was great and we loved the location and proximity to local shops, restaurants, pubs and of course the beach and harbour.
We had a lovely stay at Capstan Cottage. Added bonus of a fab little garden with outdoor table and chairs which was not pictured. Great location just minutes from the harbour.

immaculately clean and well equipped. The bed was super comfy.
Great communication from Amy, including local dog friendly
restaurants and activities. Nothe Gardens very handy for dog walks
and loos. The fort was brilliant - could spend a day there with a
picnic. The Nothe Tavern great for an early evening drink
overlooking the harbour.
